Llandrindod Wells

Llandrindod Wells golf course was designed in 1904 by golfing legend Harry Vardon. Vardon used the natural landscape to create a unique golf course that is a challenge to every golfer whatever their handicap. If you find playing bunker shots a bit of a trial then this is one golf course you will love as there are no sand bunkers anywhere on the course, Vardon's design was so good that artificial hazards are not needed...



A stunning parkland golf course designed 40 years ago by veteran Scottish designer C K Cotton in the grounds of Penoyre House and with indescribable views over the Brecon Beacons. During the 40 years since Cotton laid out the course it has matured into a first class golf course that has been host to numerous golf championships. Many of the 18 holes on this course are memorable, but none more so than the 3rd and the 12th....

Builth Wells Golf Club

Builth Wells is a course of two halves, the front nine was laid out in 1926 in a traditional parkland style, whilst the newer back nine offers a stunning variety of holes which will not only keep you thinking, but will also keep you totally entranced. If you speak to Simon, the club's professional, he will surely tell you to look out for the 10th and the 16th holes. On both of these holes the river Chwefri comes into play, so you will have decisions to make...



Kington Golf Club is the highest 18 hole golf course in England and is Herefordshire’s #1 golf course. The golf-course was designed in 1926 by Major Cecil Hutchinson (who also designed Gleneagles) and is set in glorious National Trust land.   • Just a quick reply to your e-mail. Everyone thought the golf course and the catering at Cradoc were absolutely superb as were the staff in the clubhouse and especially Richard and his assistant in the shop. The course at Llandrindod was also in great condition.
