As well as the three self catering cottages Pwllgwilym can also offer three superb rooms for bed and breakfast in the main farmhouse. If you are staying in the self catering cottages don’t panic you don’t have to cook your own Breakfast, Richard and Jane will be very happy to serve you one of their renowned “big” breakfasts to set you up for a day on the golf course.
The location of the cottages is stunning, set in 60 acres of farmland they have wonderful views of the Wye Valley and the tranquillity is only disturbed by the occasional call of a buzzard or red kite. You might now be thinking that this a very remote rural location, but you would be wrong, the cottages are only 400 or so yards from the village of Cilmeri and best of all it’s only a few yards further to the Prince Llywellyn Inn. (many guests drive to the end of the farm road and park there, then it is only 100 yards to one of the best “watering holes” in the area).
Builth Wells Golf club is only a mile or two from Pwllgwilym, and the other two courses are within an easy 30 minute drive, but if you don’t want to drive to the courses then Richard is only too happy to take you, in his minibus, and pick you up after you have finished your golf and perhaps had a meal and a few jars of refreshment.
So if you are looking for a golf break in a relaxing location then look no further than a Heart of Wales Golf Break at Pwllgwilym Cottages. Bed and breakfast is from £35 per person per night and self catering can be even better value, contact Catherine on 01597 828598 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
